It's been over 20 years that Poser users have been populating their scenes with Richabri's products and this week the Pulse brings you their latest release - Backyard Patio Set.
Give your Poser people a place to hang out this summer with this modular set that is easy to set up
and can be customized according to your needs.
Richabri has kindly taken the time to answer some of our questions below.
What got you interested in creating 3D content?
"I suppose my interest in creating 3D content started from my previous hobby of building plastic models from kits and transposing that hobby into doing the same through 3D modelling software. It was less expensive and I didn't have to worry about my kids breaking my models when they were playing ball in the house! lol :) Before I started doing this professionally, I used to give away any of the sets I created for my renders to anyone who asked because what else was I going to do with them? When my friends pressed me into making them into native Poser format I complied and eventually I found myself earning income from doing something I always enjoyed as a hobby anyway - how great is that!? "
What applications do you use for content creation?
"I use 3ds Max exclusively for my modelling and Photoshop for creating textures and making promo images. I sometimes rely upon other software like Mudbox as well."
You've been using Poser for many years. What are some new features that you particularly enjoy?
"I first started using Poser because I was looking for a way to import human and animal characters into my 3D renders without having to model them myself but I soon reversed the process and started importing my 3D environments into Poser instead. Also, the types of modeling I do are one thing but the types of Poser renders I like to make are another so I guess I get the best of both worlds now."
What are you currently working on?
"I'm presently working on a propane barbeque grill with utensils and food items that I was originally going to include in my Backyard Patio set but decided to break out into a different set due to the complexity of the modeling details that suggested it should be a separate set instead."
Thank you Richabri for sharing your creative process with us and we look forward to your future creations!
